Abstract
This study is entitled “A Brochure using Augmented Reality: The New E-commerce Tool”. The study aims to help the sellers in the Style City boutique and also to recognize more about the augmented reality. This project can use by using the brochure especially the application. When the application is focused in the target image of the brochure, the user of the app can see the items like the casual ware, formal ware, and foot ware. Mobile augmented reality is AR that you can take with you when you need to buy someone in the Style City boutique. Most specially, this means that the hardware require to implement an AR application is something that you take with you when you are in the Style City boutique. You only have to bring your mobile device installed with the application to see the items that have the brochure. The application includes the items of the boutique for the customers who want to use or to know what augmented reality is. The Mobile AR has similarity to other online shop like Lazada, Shoppe, etc., but the difference is this project has a brochure and application. The similar of them is they have an item to sell, and also have a seller to sell the products. This study used developmental research. Developmental research is the systematic study of designing, developing and evaluating instructional programs, the process of translating the design specifications into physical form and products that must meet the criteria of internal consistency and effectiveness. The researchers used rapid prototyping for the design of this project. Rapid prototyping is the process of quickly mocking up the future state of a system, be it an application, and validating it with a broader team of users, stakeholders, developers and designers. The researchers used Unity 3D, Vuforia, and Photoshop to develop the application. The concept of augmented reality and mobile application can be used to create an augmented reality brochure. The researchers were able to create a design for the AR brochure using Unity, Vuforia, and Photoshop. The AR brochure was implemented to help the seller of the boutique and also to know what augmented reality is, for those who don’t know what it is. The researchers recommend the optimization of 3D assets so the game may run smoothly. Future researchers should add more attractive interfaces like visual effects. Frequent updates should be done for the stability of the AR brochure.
