Abstract
E-commerce is the concept of conducting business online. It is a term for any type of business, or commercial transaction that involves the transfer of information across the Internet. It covers a range of different types of businesses, from consumer based retail sites, through auction or music sites, to business exchanges trading goods and services between corporations. It is currently one of the most important aspects of the Internet to emerge. Nowadays, the trend for most businesses falls under this category. It requires security both on the part of the seller and the buyer. Educational intuitions must give appropriate response on this need by enhancing the curriculum to be capable of producing good online entrepreneurs. The study aims to achieve the following as part of the institutions enhancement: (1) Introduce dual diploma as one of institutional strategy to be globally competitive.(2) Understand the concept of OBE – outcomes-based education and (3) Develop a syllabus of E-commerce using OBE approach. By adapting the concept of OBE and introducing the dual diploma, students can cope up with this trend in IT. OBE measures student learning’s, the same with the approach of dual diploma. But this method of enhancement must be understood by the stakeholders involve before its full implementation.
