Motivation is the set of forces that cause people to choose certain behaviors from among the many alternatives open to them; thus, it is very important as determinants of performance and is significant due to its intangible nature. This paper aimed to determine the effects of Human Resource motivational strategies on job performance as perceived by Non-teaching personnel of the University of Batangas (UB). The questionnaire comprised of intrinsic and extrinsic motivations and the personal, professional, and career development factors based on job performance was made and copies were distributed to the respondents. The following statistical tools were used to analyze the gathered data: percentage method, weighted mean, Pearson R, and Chi-Square. The researchers found out that providing better opportunity for educational/professional/career development and on-time compensation are helpful to a great extent which means that both intrinsic and extrinsic HR motivational strategies affect the employees’ job performance. Increased self-efficiency, strengthen commitment towards work within the university and willingness to attend meetings and conferences moderately affect job performance. The study likewise revealed that there is significant relationship between HR motivational strategies and job performance because this is where the success of the university lies. |
