Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the proposed activities for sustainable tourism development of Rosario, Batangas. The study made use of descriptive method and utilized a self- structure questionnaire which was distributed among 122 respondents who are government employees (62), non-residents (30) and local residents (30). To interpret the results, percentage and frequency distribution, and weighted mean was used. Majority of the respondents belong to the age bracket of 20 – 29 years old, female and earning below 10,000.00. The respondents agreed that Rosario Batangas has many tourist attractions that could be visited by tourist. They agreed that Rosario Batangas has potential to become tourist destination since they have different attractions, good accessibility, available accommodations, and amenities and provide activities for tourists and visitors. The respondents also agreed that tourism activities and promotional system of Rosario have its strength, weaknesses, opportunity and threats. A recommendation is proposed to enhance the sustainable tourism development of Rosario, Batangas. It is recommended that the local government may provide trainings and educational activities for the local residents and tourist attraction employees such as Service Quality, Communication Skills, Computer Literacy and Interpersonal Relationship. Designate professional marketing skilled persons both in tourist attraction and municipal tourism office who will provide good marketing strategy to promote local tourism of Rosario, Batangas. The proposed recommendation may be used to enhance the sustainable tourism development of Rosario, Batangas. A future study is recommended
