Abstract
Every organization conducts exit interviews to gather data for improving their conditions, to find out the underlying reasons why people leave and also for retaining those who stay in the organization. This study aimed to assess and analyze the exit interview of the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) in University of Batangas (UB) during the academic year 2013 to 2017. UB’s Guidance and Counselling and Health Office (GCHO) conducts exit interviews of the CBA students who plan to transfer to another institution. The data collected by GCHO was used for this study. Findings revealed that Bachelor of Science in Accountancy had the highest number of student transfers and the major reasons why they transfer were because of their family/parents decision, their education/career plans have changed, financial reasons and their grades did not meet the cut-off. The study concluded that the exit Interview was effective in determining the status of the University’s services, the reasons for student’s transfer and identified areas of improvement. The researchers created a plan that will benefit the organization.
