Abstract
Many people started baking during Covid-19 lock outbreak that resulted into lockdown. Some Filipinos established themselves as home bakers even before the pandemic while the others have just started during the quarantine period as a new source of income. A descriptive research design was used to determine the challenges and opportunities that home bakers face in Agoncillo, Batangas. 15 home bakers participated through a survey that was conducted online. The questionnaire included the the demographic profile, emerging challenges and their perceived opportunities. It was found out that home bakers experience most challenges in terms of suppliers, product pricing, selling, delivery, income, and profitability the most. Additonally, home bakers perceived that Tesda Bread and Pastry Training Program and specialized course in baking would as an opportunity for them to leverage. Furthermore, the implications of the study determined how the needs of the home bakers and how the challenges can be addressed. The study served as the basis for the proponents to propose strategies that would help the home bakers to establish their business and enhance necessary skills for their stability.
