Abstract
Extension, one of the fundamental responsibilities of any Philippine higher education institution, provides opportunities for the university to create positive changes, outcomes, and impacts in the partner community through its well- planned community extension programs. After the five-year engagement, it is imperative that the university and its partner community assess the overall attainment of the desired outcomes and their impact on the beneficiaries. In this descriptive study, 156 beneficiaries from the partner community were asked to respond to a three-part questionnaire on the respondents’ profiles, their level of engagement in the extension programs, and the level of the community extension program outcomes. Results showed that the engagement of the residents in the community extension programs resulted to a moderate extent. The different community extension programs were very helpful to the residents of the community. Outcomes assessment targeting socio-political, family and development, economic and ecological concerns in the partner community were also resulted to a moderate extent. Findings were also indicative of the impacts made by the five-year university-community partnership that include notable changes concerning their personal growth, community improvement, continuous and consistent involvement to produce collective action. The study emphasized the importance of integrating assessment and monitoring, research and innovation, accountability, and learning for continuous implementation of the initiated extension programs in the community
