The study entitled “Usability of Battery Operated Self-Heating Bento Box” aimed
to know the properties of a battery-operated self-heating bento box that are ideally suited
for students; to determine the processes involved in designing and developing battery-
operated self-heating bento box; to determine the usability of a battery-operated self-
heating bento box in terms of food safety, dining environment safety, and tableware
hygiene; and to determine the significant variations on the usability of battery-operated
self-heating bento box in terms of food safety, dining environment safety, and tableware
hygiene. The researchers used an experimental research design to determine the
usability of a battery-operated self-heating bento box for students. They used an online
survey questionnaire as their main gathering instrument. The researchers also used
simple random sampling in choosing the respondents, and 30 students were selected
from the selected school. Moreover, ranking, weighted mean, composite mean, and
ANOVA were the main statistical tools to analyze and interpret the data. After distributing
the survey questionnaire, it all signified a rejected null hypothesis. There are no significant
variations on the usability of battery-operated self-heating bento box in terms of food
safety, dining environment safety, and tableware hygiene. Furthermore, the findings in
the research showed that some of the mentioned features are usable for the performance
of the battery-operated self-heating meal box; most of the students agreed with the food
safety, dining environment safety, and tableware hygiene of the battery-operated self-
heating meal box, and it is not relying on fire or other external heat sources and no
chemical reactions used therefore, it is operated through the use of a battery. |
