Abstract
The study highlighted the importance of automated sand sieving machines in streamlining sand particle separation processes, thereby reducing manual labor and improving efficiency. Employing sophisticated mechanisms, this machine efficiently removes unwanted debris, ensuring that the sand meets specific industrial standards. The study aimed to demonstrate the significance and usage of sand-sieving machines, outline the design process involved, and assess the acceptability of automated versions in terms of sand quality, safety, and performance. Researchers utilized a descriptive research design, employing an online survey questionnaire as the primary data collection instrument. They employed purposive random sampling to select 30 respondents, comprising 15 mechanical engineers and 15 foremen. Additionally, the study employed a T-test as a statistical treatment to determine if there were significant differences in the efficiency of sand-sieving machines concerning sand quality, safety, and performance. The findings indicated that there are no significant variations in the efficiency of sand sieving machines in achieving precise construction and filtration standards in terms of sand quality, safety, and performance, which means the null hypothesis is rejected. Suggestions for the machines include an automatic screen cleaning mechanism to prevent clogging and maintain efficient sieving. This can involve periodic vibration or mechanical brushes to dislodge trapped particles from the mesh.
