Abstract
This study aimed to help future researchers to create other authentic forms of program in order to help the teachers and the students in teaching and learning varied subjects, most especially, English. In the current set-up of the University of Batangas Junior High School Department, information and communication technology plays a big part in every learner’s study habits. The data were gathered through a survey questionnaire which contained suitable questions with four categories under Information and Communication Technology for the total population of the Junior High School English teachers of University of Batangas. The results of the interpreted data, showed that the profile of the respondents greatly affect the type of ICT to be used and how it will be used in the ICT classroom setting. The setting of the teaching and learning process also greatly affects the type of ICT to be used in teaching Junior High School students. Since the students came from a private school, upgraded technologies were used for the teaching and learning process to occur. As for the effects of ICT on students, several effects were cited and proven by the respondents, but still the respondents cannot get away from the fact that the ICTs used still have bad effects that greatly influence the students in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes. On the other hand, since ICT is still a new thing for most of the teachers, there are still issues and concerns that keep on building up in the teaching and learning process.
