Abstract
This study aimed to explain how the University of Batangas addresses the challenges and impact of climate change to Higher Education Institutions. It also identified the responses and initiatives of UB towards protecting the L.A.W. (land, air, water). The researcher employed mixed methods of research integrating quantitative and qualitative approaches with documentary analysis in making an edifying discussion on the subject matter. Based on the results of the study, UB plays a significant role in information and education matters for environmental management and sustainable development; moreover, the HEIs in the Philippines particularly UB are facing climate change challenges impacting on research, curriculum, risk management/operations, and community involvement. This further presents the responses and initiatives undertaken by UB in its efforts to protect land, air, and water and address the issues and impact of climate change thru industry academe partnership, curriculum redesign, community involvement/ LGU-academe partnership, environmental conservations measures, research and development and elevating corporate social responsibility.
