Abstract
The study was done for the purpose of doing an impact assessment of ISO Certification on selected Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the CALABARZON area. The study looked at the extent of the current practice of ISO 9001:2008, and assesses improvements in the quality management systems in the participating HEIs. The mixed method of research was used. Data collection was done with the use of interview and questionnaire, whereby the school’s motives for ISO certification were determined. Significant differences were observed among the school as to motives, and the way ISO standards and procedures are viewed and accepted by the schools although ISO Certification was to a great extent. However, only a minor improvement is experienced with regard to motives.
