Abstract
Corazon Aquino is one of the great Filipinas who left a mark on the hearts and minds of all Filipinos and even to the whole world. It is very evident that Lucy Komisar, an American freelance journalist was able to come up with a biography of Corazon Aquino. Corazon Aquino’s image as a Filipino woman is being looked up and honoured by many. She had contributed a lot in the country by serving as a charismatic leader and promotion peaceful- moral crusades. This study focused on Corazon Aquino’s character as a Filipino woman by being a wife and a mother, widow and leader. The descriptive method of research was utilized in the study. Different events in her life are presented to have a clearer view on where she got her character. The context of the biography is also studied like its theme, style, and author’s purpose. Moreover, implications to uphold women’s rights were also drawn from the biography
