University of Batangas is in compliance with the mandate of law to promote quality education, take appropriate steps to ensure that education shall be accessible to all; and ensure and protect academic freedom for the continuing intellectual growth, the advancement of learning and research, the education of responsible and effective leadership, the education of high level professionals, and the enrichment of historical and cultural heritage.
This study aims to signify the expansion of scholarship grants, assistance and student services of University of Batangas in ensuring the accessibility of education to all as basis for developing a marketing strategy. The descriptive method presented in a qualitative term was employed in describing the phenomena under investigation. Findings of the study show that University of Batangas provides academic and non-academic scholarships to deserving students and even to the family members its faculty and employees. It also accepts outside scholarships such as corporation funded scholarships, government funded scholarships, industry- funded scholarships, and among others. To sustain a high-spirited, conducive learning environment, the University provides and extends students services to address the needs of their students to promote physical, psychological, social, intellectual and spiritual welfare. Moreso, the proposed marketing strategies when tried and carried out may serve as augmentation to the service provided by the institution to its students. Meanwhile, it has been recommended that funding must be increased to adequately address the target populations for enrollment and should be increased for promotion, including funding for research to be implemented that will assist in marketing effort of University of Batangas. The University faculty should conduct researches which will deal on the current trends and issues on academics and marketing strategies in education. Furthermore, they shall review the recruiting strategies employed in the University of Batangas and make necessary modification as needed and concentrate on promoting academic programs on the basis of reputation, high demand and enrollment flexibility |
